When you need an external 433MHz antenna
Metal enclosures block 433MHz
Alarm panels installed inside metal electrical enclosures or steel switchboards act as partial Faraday cages. The panel's internal 433MHz receiver antenna is shielded by the enclosure, reducing wireless range to a few metres. An external antenna mounted outside the enclosure restores full wireless zone range.
Concrete buildings and shielded plant rooms
Reinforced concrete walls attenuate 433MHz signals by 10–20 dB per wall. Multi-storey commercial buildings with sensors above and below the panel level routinely have wireless range problems. The DG433EF external fiberglass antenna mounted in the ceiling void or above the panel bank overcomes this.
Large site perimeter coverage
Sites with wireless sensors at 80–120m from the panel — warehouses, large residential properties, rural outbuildings — often experience intermittent 433MHz faults. The DG433EF elevated feed (+3 dBi) mounted on the SMA Female port of the panel's external receiver provides approximately 2× the reliable range of a standard 0 dBi dipole.

DG433-CT
Cable-Terminated 433MHz OmniStandard external antenna for alarm panel 433MHz receiver ports. The 5m cable routes from inside the metal enclosure to the antenna mounted externally. With the antenna outside the shielding, the effective range improvement is significant even at 0 dBi — the Faraday cage effect is eliminated.
DG433-BT
Barrel-Thread 433MHz OmniBarrel-thread direct-mount antenna for panel enclosure or gate motor board installations. Threads directly onto the SMA Female port on the panel or PCB. Used where the port is already external (enclosure surface-mount) and no cable routing is needed.
DG433BT-Stubby
Compact Stubby 433MHzUltra-compact stubby for installations with limited vertical clearance. Same SMA Male direct-mount as the DG433-BT but in a much smaller profile — used inside shallow enclosures or gate motor boards where the full-size antenna clears the lid.
DG433EF
Elevated Feed 433MHzHigh-gain elevated feed design for extended-range wireless coverage. The elevated feed structure provides +3 dBi gain over a standard dipole — approximately 2× the effective range for long-driveway access control, large commercial site wireless zones, and sensors at the limits of normal range.
