When an external WiFi antenna makes the difference
Access point range extension
Standard 2 dBi rubber duck antennas on access points cover 15–25m in a typical building. Replacing with a DG24005 (5 dBi) extends effective range to 40–60m — covering larger floor plates or adjacent outbuildings without deploying an additional AP.
IoT WiFi sensor networks
Industrial IoT sensors, smart meters, and embedded WiFi modules use compact SMA-connected antennas. The DG2400LP panel-mount antenna installs inside standard enclosures (DIN rail, IP65 boxes) providing reliable 2.4GHz WiFi coverage without penetrating the enclosure or compromising its IP rating.
Warehouse and large-area coverage
Warehouses with racking, conveyors, and metallic infrastructure create significant 2.4GHz multipath. A high-gain external omni mounted at ceiling height above the obstruction layer — rather than behind racking — dramatically improves WiFi reliability across the floor.

Tuned to 2.400–2.500 GHz (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n). Individually tested on Anritsu Site Master before dispatch.
DG24005
5dBi 2.4GHz OmniHigh-gain external omni for access point range extension and point-to-multipoint coverage. The +5 dBi gain provides approximately 3x the effective range of a standard 2 dBi dipole at the same transmit power. Used for warehouse WiFi coverage, industrial sensor networks, and AP-to-client bridges.
DG2400LP
Low-Profile 2.4GHz Panel AntennaUltra-low profile panel-mount antenna for IoT WiFi modules, embedded devices, and smart sensor enclosures. Installs flush against surfaces or inside enclosures where a full-size omni creates clearance problems. Used for smart meters, building automation nodes, and WiFi-enabled industrial equipment.

The DG2400 series is specifically tuned to 2.400–2.500 GHz — not a broadband antenna with poor SWR in the WiFi band. Purpose-built antennas deliver measurably better performance at the target frequency.

Order with SMA Male (for IoT modules, commercial APs, industrial routers) or RP-SMA Male (for Ubiquiti, consumer WiFi routers, and most enterprise APs). Specify when ordering.
