About the Hills Reliance XR 4G Module
The Hills Reliance XR is a leading residential and light commercial alarm panel in Australia. The NXX-4G-WFSIM-AU module adds dual-SIM 4G cellular and WiFi router capability, providing multiple communication paths for back-to-base monitoring.
The 4G module features an SMA Female antenna port for cellular connectivity. In installations where the panel is in a metal enclosure, plant room, or basement, the supplied stub antenna cannot perform adequately — an external replacement is required.

The Hills Reliance XR enclosure is metal. The 4G module's antenna inside the enclosure is shielded from signal. An external pigtail and wall-mount omni restores signal — critical for back-to-base communication reliability.
Residential and light commercial basements
Hills Reliance XR is widely used in higher-end residential and light commercial installations. Basement and underground locations require an external antenna routed to ground level or the exterior of the building.
Multi-dwelling unit MDFs
Telecommunications rooms and MDFs in apartment complexes and commercial buildings are typically heavily shielded. External antenna cable routed to the building's external face or plant room roof is the standard solution.
Fringe coverage sites
Semi-rural residential and rural commercial sites with marginal 4G coverage. The broadband omni provides 6 dBi of gain across all carriers — no carrier-specific tuning required.

2x DG900MB-HG — 4G LTE MIMO Omni
For installations where the NXX-4G-WFSIM-AU module supports dual-antenna MIMO configuration. 7 dBi at high-band LTE provides maximum throughput and signal margin. Two separate antenna cables required.
SMA Male to N Male Pigtail
Adapter pigtail for the NXX-4G-WFSIM-AU module's SMA Female antenna port. Connects to the N Female port on external D&G antennas. 30 cm standard — custom lengths for enclosure routing.
Custom Cable Assembly
Low-loss LMR240 or LMR400 for routing external antenna cable from plant room to external mounting location. Custom built to site specification.
