Inner Range T4000
External Antenna Upgrade

The T4000 and T4000 Pro security communicators use the Multipath-IP platform for Inner Range Inception and Integriti systems. When the included 3.5 dBi magnetic base antenna can't hold a reliable 4G link, this guide covers the right external antenna for the job.

About the Inner Range T4000

The Inner Range T4000 is the Multipath-IP 4G security communicator designed for integration with Inner Range Inception and Integriti access control and alarm systems. It provides 4G cellular and IP dual-path monitoring capability for commercial, government, and critical infrastructure sites.

The T4000 ships with a 3.5 dBi magnetic base antenna on a 2m cable. The antenna has an SMA Male connector. When the included antenna is used inside a metal enclosure, or where cellular coverage is marginal, an external replacement antenna is required.

When an external antenna is required

Replacing the magnetic base antenna

The T4000 ships with a 3.5 dBi magnetic base antenna on a 2m cable. In installations where this is routed inside a metal enclosure or left inside a plant room, signal is lost. Replace with an external wall-mount omni routed outside the enclosure.

Inception integration in basement MDFs

Inner Range Inception panels often manage building-wide access control and alarm systems from basement MDF rooms. 4G cellular signal in these locations is typically poor. Route a low-loss cable to an external surface-mount antenna.

High-security and critical infrastructure

T4000 installations in critical infrastructure, government facilities, and data centres require guaranteed monitoring communication. An external high-gain antenna provides the signal margin for a reliable primary channel regardless of building construction.

Remote and mining sites

Inner Range systems are used in mine sites, remote industrial facilities, and government-managed remote premises. Yagi directional antennas with 11 dBi gain provide reliable connectivity on marginal 4G towers at range.

Recommended D&G Products for T4000 Sites

All antennas tested on Anritsu Site Master before dispatch. Custom cable assemblies to site specification.

DG900MB-HG — 5GNR Broadband Omni

Direct replacement for the T4000's supplied 3.5 dBi magnetic base antenna. Wall or pole mount. 6 dBi at mid-band covers all Australian 4G carriers. Connect via SMA Male to N Male pigtail — antenna maintains 50Ω match across the full T4000 operating band.

DGY900-6 — Yagi Directional Antenna

For T4000 installations in remote or fringe locations where the nearest tower is known. 11 dBi gain provides a significant link margin improvement over the supplied stub. Point toward the serving 4G tower. Used on mining sites, rural commercial premises, and industrial estates on the urban fringe.

SMA Male to N Male Pigtail

Connects the T4000's SMA Female antenna port to the N Female port on external D&G antennas. 30 cm standard — custom lengths for cable runs through conduit, cable trays, or ceiling voids.

Freq
DC – 6 GHz
Connector
SMA Male → N Male, 30 cm

Custom Cable Assembly

Low-loss LMR240 or LMR400 coax for routing through enclosures and plant rooms. Specify length and connector types. Typical run: SMA Male at the T4000 end, N Male at the external antenna location.

Why Inner Range integrators specify D&G

100% tested, not batch-sampled

Inner Range systems protect critical infrastructure. A failed antenna on a monitoring communicator is a compliance failure. Every D&G antenna is tested on Anritsu Site Master before dispatch — not sampled, not assumed.

High-security site experience

We supply into ADT, Johnson Controls, and Wormald systems used on government, mining, and critical infrastructure sites. Our antennas are specified for high-security applications where reliability is non-negotiable.

Low-loss cable assemblies

Long cable runs from plant rooms to external mounting points introduce insertion loss. We build LMR400 assemblies for runs where every dB matters — high-rise rooftop mounts, underground-to-rooftop runs.

No minimum order

One antenna for a problem site, or 200 for a national rollout — same pricing logic, same test standard, same lead time. Call for volume pricing on Inner Range system rollouts.
