About the 2N EasyGate IP+ and 2N Lift8

Manufactured by 2N / Axis Communications (Czech Republic) and distributed in Australia by Elefone, the 2N EasyGate IP+ is a single-line lift emergency phone gateway with dual SIM and IP43 protection. The 2N Lift8 scales to handle up to 8 lift emergency phones from a single unit, with 48-hour standby backup battery and automated 3-day self-test calling.

Both models are EN81-28 and RCM approved. The broad international LTE band support covers all Australian Telstra and Optus 4G frequencies. Dual SIM with automatic carrier failover provides redundancy without any manual intervention.

Common installation scenarios

EasyGate IP+ in plant room

Standard single-lift installation. The EasyGate IP+ in the machine room connects via a 30 cm SMA pigtail to an DG900MB-HG omni mounted on the external plant room wall or rooftop parapet. IP43 rated enclosure, IP67 rated antenna.

2N Lift8 serving a multi-lift building

The 2N Lift8 handles up to 8 lift emergency phones from a single gateway unit with a single external antenna connection. One DG900MB-HG covers the entire building — no per-lift antenna required.

Basement or sub-ground machine room

Basement machine rooms require a cable run of 10–15 m from the gateway up to an external antenna above ground. Use LMR400 to keep insertion loss under control. Pair with the DGY900-6 Yagi if signal survey shows marginal coverage.

Dual-carrier failover site

The 2N EasyGate IP+ and Lift8 both feature dual SIM with automatic carrier failover between Telstra and Optus. A single external antenna serves both SIMs — the gateway manages carrier selection transparently.

Recommended D&G Products for 2N EasyGate / Lift8

All antennas and cable assemblies individually tested. Custom cable assemblies quoted to site drawings.

DG900MB-HG — 5GNR Broadband Omni

Primary external antenna for the 2N EasyGate IP+ and 2N Lift8. IP67 rated for outdoor wall or mast mount. Covers all Australian LTE bands. For the 2N Lift8 serving multiple lifts, a single DG900MB-HG connects to the gateway — not to each lift car.

DGY900-6 — Yagi Directional Antenna

For sub-ground machine rooms and fringe coverage sites. 6–11 dBi of directional gain pointed at the nearest tower recovers signal where an omni delivers marginal RSSI. Recommended for basement installations with LMR400 long cable runs.

Why 2N installers specify D&G

Active vertical transport supplier

D&G is an active supplier to the Australian vertical transport industry including Hamilton Elevators NSW. We supply antennas and cable assemblies specifically for lift emergency phone gateway installations.

100% tested before dispatch

Every antenna and cable assembly is tested on an Anritsu Site Master before leaving Penrith. A non-compliant emergency call system is a liability — we remove antenna quality as a variable.

LMR400 long cable assemblies

For basement machine rooms, we build LMR400 cable assemblies in any length from 5 to 20 m with SMA Male and N Male terminations. Low insertion loss across the full 2N LTE band range.

Stocked in Penrith, same-day available

Standard items available for same-day collection. Custom LMR400 assemblies built on a 2-week lead time. No import delays — all built locally in our Penrith facility.
