Avire DCP / DCP 2.0 / DCP Evo
External 4G Antenna
The Avire DCP range — DCP, DCP 2.0, and DCP Evo — are EN81-28 and AS1735.19 certified lift emergency phone gateways with over 200,000 installs. All three models share the same SMA Female 50Ω antenna port. Lift Material Australia is the sole AU/NZ distributor from April 2025. This guide covers the correct D&G antenna and cable for every installation scenario.

About the Avire DCP Range
Avire (formerly MEMCO) is a UK-based lift safety technology company. Lift Material Australia is the sole AU/NZ distributor from April 2025. The DCP product family spans three hardware generations — original DCP, DCP 2.0, and DCP Evo / DCP Evo X — all using the same SMA Female 50Ω external antenna port.
The DCP 2.0 operates on 4G VoLTE primary with 2G fallback. Battery backup is a 12V 800mAh NiMH cell rated for 3 hours talk time with a 3-year replacement cycle. The gateway connects to the Avire Hub cloud monitoring platform for automated 72-hour test call reporting — EN81-28 compliant monitoring without on-site technician visits.
DCP Range Antenna Port Specification
Common installation scenarios
DCP 2.0 replacing legacy 3G DCP
The DCP 2.0 uses the same SMA Female antenna port as the original DCP. Drop-in hardware swap — existing cable routing is fully compatible. No antenna rework required if the original external antenna is already in place. If the original antenna was a stub, replace with DG900MB-HG at this service visit.
Roof plant room or external machine room
Standard SMA Male to N Male pigtail connects the DCP or DCP 2.0 to an DG900MB-HG omni mounted externally on the wall or mast. The DCP 2.0's built-in signal strength tester confirms the antenna connection is delivering adequate signal before commissioning sign-off.
Basement or low-signal machine room
For sub-ground machine rooms, route a LMR400 cable assembly (10–15 m) from the DCP gateway up to external antenna position above slab level. LMR400's low insertion loss preserves signal over longer runs without signal amplification.
Concrete-shielded lift shaft
Older concrete construction with steel reinforcing can attenuate 4G signals to the point where an omni antenna at rooftop level is insufficient. Deploy the DGY900-6 Yagi directed at the nearest Telstra or Optus tower for maximum link margin. Avire Hub remote monitoring confirms call test pass/fail without site visits.
Recommended D&G Products for Avire DCP
All antennas and cable assemblies individually tested. Custom cable assemblies quoted to site drawings.
DG900MB-HG — 5GNR Broadband Omni
Primary external antenna for all Avire DCP models. IP67 outdoor rated for wall or mast mount. Covers all Telstra and Optus 4G bands including low-band B28 (700 MHz). Suitable for roof plant rooms and external machine room wall mounting.
DGY900-6 — Yagi Directional Antenna
For concrete-shielded lift shafts and low-signal sites. 6–11 dBi directional gain directed at the nearest Telstra or Optus tower for maximum link margin. Use with LMR400 cable assemblies for long sub-ground runs.
SMA Male to N Male Pigtail
Connects the Avire DCP SMA Female antenna port to D&G N Female antennas. 30 cm standard length for cabinet or trunking box installs. Custom lengths available.
Custom Cable Assembly
LMR200 for standard machine room runs up to 10 m. LMR400 for 10–20 m runs from basement or sub-ground machine rooms to external antennas. Built to site specification.
Why lift companies specify D&G for Avire sites
Active supplier to the Australian vertical transport industry
D&G supplies antenna components to lift maintenance companies across AU and NZ. We understand the Avire DCP installation environment, Lift Material Australia's supply chain, and the compliance requirements at every step.
Avire Hub-compatible — no change to monitoring
The external antenna connects to the gateway's SMA port without affecting Avire Hub cloud monitoring or the 72-hour automated test call cycle. The DCP 2.0's built-in signal strength tester verifies the antenna is performing correctly at commissioning.
Custom cable assemblies for any machine room
Machine room layouts vary. D&G builds SMA-to-N cable assemblies from 1 m to 20 m. LMR200 for standard runs, LMR400 for low-loss performance over 10 m from basement or sub-ground installations.
